2014 was around the time I really started to find a sound of my own for Lontalius. I was 17 and feeling all the things a 17 year old feels, but I’d reached a place where I could really express these feelings in the music. ‘I Let Himmm’ was about realising the power that love had over me, that if I wasn’t careful then I could let it take over all aspects of my life. The lyrics repeat over the entire song, almost as if I’m hitting myself over the head with them. I’ve always found repetition to be the most impactful way to get my feelings across in a song. It’s a mood I’m feeling, and sometimes I just don’t have anything else to say.
